Privacy Policy

The Weighted Average Calculator runs every calculation in your browser. This policy explains the data the site does not collect, the data your browser stores locally, and how to remove it.

The Weighted Average Calculator runs every calculation inside your browser. No value, weight, label, or result is transmitted to a server.

Data the site does not collect

  • No account, name, or email address is required to use the calculator.
  • No values, weights, or labels you type are uploaded or logged.
  • No advertising or cross-site tracking identifiers are set.

Data stored on your device

The calculator saves your most recent entries, the selected preset, and the decimal places setting in localStorage under the key wac.state.v1. That record stays on your device, is readable only by this site, and is never sent anywhere. Clearing site data in your browser removes it immediately.

Contact form

The contact form opens your own email client with a pre-filled message. Nothing is submitted to this site, and no message is stored here. Email you choose to send is handled by your mail provider.

Third-party requests

The site loads the Fraunces and Inter typefaces from Google Fonts, which receives the request and your IP address as part of delivering those files. No other third-party asset, script, or embed is loaded.

Hosting

The site is served as static files. Standard server logs kept by the hosting provider may include IP addresses and user agents for security and reliability purposes.

Your choices

Disable JavaScript to stop local storage entirely — the written content stays readable, though the calculator will not compute. Use private browsing to discard local storage when the window closes.

Changes

Material changes to this policy update the date shown at the top of this page.

Calculate Weighted Average Online

Every value-weight pair, one weighted average.

The weighted average calculator multiplies each value by its weight, adds the weighted sum, divides by the total of weights, and prints the weighted average beside the standard arithmetic mean. Course grades, GPA, portfolio returns, and probability distributions all run through the same 4 steps.
